How to prepare a filling with 5 ingredients
Thanksgiving is about family and gratitude. This easy and convenient stuffing recipe keeps the focus on what really matters. It’s quick to throw together, uses simple pantry staples, and saves you time for what matters—family, friends, and second helpings.
- Cook the vegetables: Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. In a large skillet, add the butter and melt over medium heat. Add the diced onions and diced celery. Cook until soft, about 6 to 7 minutes.
- Combine: Add the canned stuffing, breadcrumbs, chicken broth and cooked vegetables, then stir to combine.
- Baking: Transfer the filling mixture to the prepared baking dish, then cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

- 1 (10 ounces) box stuffed with breadcrumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup diced onions
- ½ cup diced celery
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth

Notes
- Storage: Once cooled, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Heating: Place it in the microwave for about 1 minute or until heated through. Add a splash of chicken broth before reheating if the filling seems dry.
- Go ahead: Assemble the filling as directed, then cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Bring to room temperature before baking as directed.
