  1. Cook the vegetables: Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. In a large skillet, add the butter and melt over medium heat. Add the diced onions and diced celery. Cook until soft, about 6 to 7 minutes.
  2. Combine: Add the canned stuffing, breadcrumbs, chicken broth and cooked vegetables, then stir to combine.
  3. Baking: Transfer the filling mixture to the prepared baking dish, then cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup diced onions

  • Transfer the filling mixture to the prepared dish. Cover with cling film and cook for 20-25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Instructions for storage, heating and preparation

  • Storage: Once cooled, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Heating: Place it in the microwave for about 1 minute or until heated through. Add a splash of chicken broth before reheating if the filling seems dry.
  • Go ahead: Assemble the filling as directed, then cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Bring to room temperature before baking as directed.
